Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role will be responsible for evaluation, tracking, & analysis of business/systems, work & processes to monitor for transformation needs. This role forms part of a new project that is looking to deliver a more streamlined and efficient network throughout the business and thus requires a motivated team member to deliver on process improvements and mapping. This role involves a good understanding of different modules of a learning management solution and how they can be used in the organization to derive incremental business results.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Applying strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing software as product functions with the ability to answer questions that arise from the business management or users
  • Identifying and resolving business systems problems, and consulting with various users to identify potential improvements
  • Providing technical documentation for each process that includes the policy and/or procedure underpinnings necessary publishing official documents that dictate processes, procedures, and security requirements associated with each development effort
  • Providing second-level business support for all implemented commercial processes
  • Developing and supporting business intelligence and strategy development for the organization including assimilation of various reports and metrics to identify areas of improvement
  • Developing detailed functional requirements documents based on business needs
  • Analyzing business functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows
  • Developing sustainable best practices, process knowledge, and documenting standards 
  • Conducting complex system analysis and design of business process involving evaluation of current and proposed information
  • Providing technical and analytical support for process improvement initiatives


The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Providing analytical support to process development and improvement efforts
  • Applying design thinking skills, conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to tackle complex business processes and procedural problems
  • Supporting a cross-functional team by providing business process reviews and analysis which lead to process improvement
  • Providing critical review or similar engineering research and development methods to bring disparate technologies together to solve system issues
  • Having a thorough understanding of the business functions for which applications are used, interfaces with business and IT cross-function teams
  • Having a thorough understanding of planning, analysis, and testing techniques required to support an enterprise business system
