Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role serves as a data expert, working with a set of 3-4 areas of the organization to identify opportunities to make data-driven decisions and improve performance. This role would have an immediate business impact and would provide insights based on research and analysis to aid key business decisions across different areas. This role will be a key member of functional teams and will focus on areas where there is a significant reliance on data to drive business performance.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting business analysts, technical teams, and developers to define the data requirements and data structure for business intelligence solutions
  • Implementing strategic performance marketing solutions that use best of breed analytical and big data technologies to build consumer insight and driving additional transactions through digital channels
  • Building standard tools such as data quality monitors and customer exploration tools as well as more client-specific prototypical and decision support apps
  • Determining business information needs and working towards fulfilling those needs by gathering data from internal or external sources
  • Providing reporting analysis, programming, and problem resolution to facilitate reporting process improvement of complex systems
  • Assisting other team members with SQL queries necessary to extract, transforming, or load data as part of integration and analysis development
  • Leading an exciting data environment to support data analysts and data scientists from a multitude of different business groups
  • Gathering business reporting requirements to produce useful solutions
  • Producing job aids and other materials to be utilized by various departments to assist in managing and operating SQL reporting tools
  • Collaboration with business leaders to design new analytical tools
