Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day. This role will share responsibility with a senior art director and requires the ability to conceive a core idea for any given assignment and/or campaign. This role will focus on supporting a growing range of professional services through proposal or project management and writing.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Writing engaging, product-focused content that can help people be better with their finances, in practical ways
  • Developing benefit-driven brand messaging for all media designed to elicit a response and advancing the sale whether for direct response advertising, brand awareness, social media, and web content. 
  • Creating accurate and effective copy for print marketing projects to drive sales & meeting department goals
  • Developing concepts and writing copy for a variety of advertising & marketing campaigns dedicated to innovative technology solutions in the apartment and vacation rental industry
  • Creating compelling radio, television, and web copy, marketing material, articles, brochures, and social marketing content that achieve amazing results for clients
  • Copy-editing tasks for the offline mass-market fundraising team with an emphasis on direct mail appeals, cultivation, and stewardship pieces
  • Leading copy development, including the creation of stories and messages to support the corporate brand, as well as products and solutions
  • Writing merchandise copy, content for web, associate training books, style look books, customer newsletters, as well as press releases and internal communications
  • Creating compelling, smart, and strategic copy that drives results and can be fully integrating, online and offline


The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Sharing specific examples of written work that shows competency in creating copy that sells
  • Generating creative ideas to build email marketing campaigns promoting all aspects of the business
  • Formalizing agency tone of voice and personality in all written communication, including marketing materials, pitch and concept presentations, and social media
  • Developing copy strategies and content that is forward-thinking and in line with current market targets
  • Executing fact-checking and proofreading of agency produced content
  • Contributing creative ideas for new types of content opportunities based on a thorough understanding of the company and its goals
