Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role works with technical resources to identify approaches for their work, while also interacting with business and reporting specialists to understand data needs. This role will partner closely with other analysts, developers, and business leaders, and requires an eye for detail, experience at analyzing data, and understanding of various toolsets and databases. This role will be part of a group that is responsible for understanding and managing an established data analysis workflow while working with the client to develop a more automated process and sophisticated analysis.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing data analysis that provides a platform for decision making on a variety of business issues
  • Developing a deep understanding of financial and operational data, recruiting and sales metrics, reporting tools, and data structure
  • Performing valuable data analysis that provides critical solutions to real problems and determining strategies for success
  • Performing a critical coordination and management role to ensure follow-through, completion, and maintenance of data analysis procedures throughout the school network
  • Creating ad hoc listings to support data management for data cleaning, data reviewing, and trial monitoring functions
  • Executing data and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement of workflow processes and data infrastructure
  • Providing data and insight support for specific marketing functions
  • Developing data processes and policies including reporting and quality control
  • Working with engineering and operations team coordinating master data requirements to ensure data consistency, integrity, and control 


The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Initiating data-driven research projects, which directly address questions from case management staff and external partners
  • Identifying and supporting data management best practices
  • Undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis of numerical data needed to answer and addressing specific industry problems 
  • Possessing technical skills to export, compiling, and structure data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for actionable insights
  • Conducting data analysis to extract information that can be shared with various business units
