Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role will work to create, manage, and continually improve a culture that enables successful projects, providing oversight to achieve a positive outcome. This role will help in strategic direction, while monitoring performance, delivering projects, and enabling technical development for team members. This role is for someone who has a strong background in process improvement and understands how multiple projects and programs work together and can take that efficiency to another level.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical oversight and management of program-specific IT projects and infrastructure
  • Ensuring timely and effective communication regarding the mapping of initiatives to business goals to business partners, including presenting information to IT and business leaders 
  • Providing ongoing leadership and technical management support of information technology approved network and computer operations, software applications, and projects
  • Managing complex, cross-functional technology programs, which may include overall program budgeting, program objectives, planning and execution of the program, operations management, and program reporting
  • Managing the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of Information Services' project work efforts
  • Providing customer support, horizontal integration, corrective action planning, cost, schedule, technical, and risk
  • Conducting user acceptance testing with the client that spans all project teams and processes that impact the product from the end
  • Overseeing the client experience process which addresses the top issues wherever they exist in the overall technology team
  • Creating detailed project plan with task level information, phases, milestones and highlighting critical path items to provide visibility to the project stakeholders
  • Managing multiple large, complex, and enterprise-wide technical and business oriented projects and programs for the organization

  • Managing executive project expectations including owning escalation, communication, and C-level interaction on critical strategic projects for the company
  • Identifying potential program opportunities to deliver integrated solutions that meet multiple business partner needs
  • Applying expert knowledge of the business, its products, and processes to assess program risks and rewards across multiple technologies and business goals
  • Assessing IT and business resource requirements, track solutions delivery, create and maintaining accurate high-level IT solutions reporting, and completing user acceptance and unit testing
