Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role will have a particular focus on change management and require an individual who can manage change plans within a complex organization. This role will support a team that has the responsibility for creating and delivering the relevant materials to support the roll-out and education around the self-service data platform. This role is key in ensuring that mandatory and professional development topics can be delivered in a way that best meets the needs of our learners.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leveraging technical expertise from team members, technical partners, and the anticipation and risk financing building blocks framework to design modularized training and learning materials to meet the capacity development needs of the Start Network, including e-learning
  • Coordinating training events including identifying and evaluating vendors, developing contract actions, ensuring availability of rooms and resources, marketing and promoting training events, enrolling students, evaluating courses, and maintaining employee training records
  • Establishing standardized program reporting to deliver insights to client partner teams and the design and development team
  • Playing a key role in the provision of professional learning, including through developing processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice and peer collaboration
  • Promoting economic development programs and services utilizing a variety of marketing methods, including presentations and in-person meetings
  • Establishing standardized program reporting to deliver insights to operations partners


The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Superior skill and expertise in all aspects of communications and public affairs, project management, and media relations
  • Delivering annual training and needs analysis across the business and creating training plans based on results
  • Suggesting alternative approaches, innovative tools, and unidentified opportunities to improve our course materials and educational experience
  • Understanding the basic introduction to the work management system for the site and operating asset work assignments
  • Providing an ongoing and comprehensive review of a program, including its people, processes, quality, and effectiveness from the planning phase
  • Demonstrating human resources experience with the ability to use independent judgment to ensure intended business results are achieved, including timeliness and quality
  • Developing sustainable processes, procedures, and programs aimed at identifying, assessing, engaging, and retaining high potential leaders to ensure a ready supply of leadership talent when and where it is needed
