Job Description

Job purpose/summary

This role includes broad authority to build and shape future training and services strategy to prepare the organization for continued growth. Also, this role will be responsible for the development of internal professional and leadership development programs. This role is responsible for the delivery and execution of all learning and development activities and will oversee key talent initiatives aimed at maximizing employee alignment, engagement, potential, and performance.

Duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring relevant training data for the area, which will help to identify learning & development needs, and assessing best practice against specific educational expectations as set out in statutory guidelines and awarding organizations requirements
  • Managing external partnerships with training vendors and industry organizations who provide content and resources to support critical skill learning and capabilities
  • Performing all applicable human resource responsibilities including hiring new team members, career planning, coaching, development, performance management, etc.
  • Developing lead outreach and communication activities to enhance the understanding and practice of strategic financial management
  • Building strong partnerships with field management and crossing functional business partners in evaluating, developing, and delivering instructional materials
  • maintaining strategic direction and vision for course development for training programs while enforcing course development standards
  • Building a deployment process that scales as well as minimizes development and deployment time for new learning modules or communication requirements
  • Assessing training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, associates, and client representatives


The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Identifying proper assessment, planning, design, development, execution, and maintenance of all training plans, materials, and tools for team members across all areas of the business
  • Delivering clear and practical encouragement and assistance to occupational associations to develop self-regulatory capacity and improvement in the professional standards of their members
  • Being a subject matter expert in the use of business profitability tools and processes for the divisional management, project, and sales team
  • Ensuring effective development and use of assessments to guide and validating learning
  • Obtaining measurable results to support the decision-making process regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of learning courses and programs
  • Ensuring strong linkage of talent management programs to overall business initiatives and human resources programs
  • Evaluating training initiatives for effectiveness including measuring the impact and return on investment of key Learning and Development programs
