Job purpose/summary
This role is part of a managed service team responsible for setting the technical vision and solution design within IT for enterprise-wide initiatives. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, documentation, and review of technology solutions that meet the business and IT needs of the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and subject matter expertise in the evaluation, design, planning, and deployment of emerging solutions to drive exceptional experiences and increased productivity and growth
- Providing technical leadership for other application developers on all system development activities
- Implementing quality engineering activities that impact multiple components/processes
- Defining the technical vision and end-to-end software solution design for new business features and capabilities
- Providing direct technical design support
- Assisting the existing architecture team in the specification and documentation of designs for committed enhancement to the product using appropriate and tailoring architecture methods
- Developing detailed technical requirements and implementation guides that clearly outlines the architecture and tasks required to implement a specific project
- Gathering customer technical and functional requirements, including engineering and gap analysis
- Providing architectural framework for application systems and/or information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts

- Maintaining a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices in software architecture, application design, and development
- Applying advanced knowledge of the business and IT architecture principles to identify and evaluate alternatives solutions
- Possessing a deep knowledge of project management best practices and how to apply them in an effective yet pragmatic way across large, complex projects
- Qualifying new business opportunities or requirements within existing and prospective clients to ensure alignment with target markets, portfolio, and delivery and lifecycle services capabilities
- Setting good examples of embracing technology and organizational changes to better serve the customer and business units
- Recommending integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices
