Job purpose/summary
This role will work closely with the product team, development team, and other groups to iteratively design and deliver a differentiating end-to-end user experience with applications. This role requires vision to see the bigger picture of the design system and how it serves the organization by anticipating potential use cases and evolutions. This role is involved with the project throughout the design and development cycle and works closely with the client, local, and/or virtual teams to ensure standards of excellence.
Duties and responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting usability tests and working with product management and visual design team members to refine user experiences
- Making strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features
- Creating world-class, user-centered designs incorporating business requirements, product learning, and customer feedback
- Developing required information architecture needed to support design such as user personas, user journeys, etc.
- Creating interaction models, user task flow, screen designs, and user interface details that promote ease of use and optimizing task flows
- Creating detailed specifications and design guidelines that can be transmitted to development teams with zero information loss
- Collaborating with product managers and developers to develop and refining application screen layouts while optimizing usability and accessibility

- Possessing a clear understanding of best practices for interface strategies, online user experience, user interface design, and site usability
- Communicating the user experience at various stages of the design process
- Taking a leadership role in collaborations between the creative strategy, UX, visual design, development team, and client to create effective design strategies
- Providing technical expertise and application development assistance in the design, development, testing, and implementation of new user interfaces for existing and future applications
- Providing organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to decipher user insight through various forms of customer analysis and research
